Q. How much do I have to pay up front?
A. Normally you pay the equivalent of 2 month rent the 1st month’s rent and 1 month deposit. Some Landlords may ask for more in a furnished property.
Q. When do I pay my rent?
A. Normally you pay the rent each month, in advance, from the day you move in.
Q. How do I pay the rent?
A. Our preferred option is for you to set up a standing order each month directly to the landlord.
Q. How long is the contract for?
A. A Standard contract is for 12 months. It is possible to vary the length in certain circumstances.
Q. Who arranges the contract?
A. The contract will be drawn up by the Agent it will be signed by the Tennant landlord and witnesses by the Agent. A copy of your passport and employment status is also required.
Q. Who pays for the Electricity, Water and local tax?
A. You do. You will need to transfer the bills into your name from completion date.
Q. Do I have to clean the pool?
A. This will vary from each property.
Q. What other costs do I have to pay?
A. If you are on a complex with common areas, such as pools and gardens, you may have to pay for this.
Q. What if I want to leave before the 12 months is up
A. You need to give your landlord a minimum of 2 months notice if you wish to cancel the contact and the deposit will be non refundable except under extreme circumstances.
Q. Am I allowed pets?
A. If you already have a pet we can search for properties that allow pets. If you want to get a pet later on you will need to get the permission of your Landlord first.
Q. Can I make changes to the property?
A. You should ask your landlord before making any changes to the property.
